    W T F We need

    1. physical midfielder

    2. Plan A or a Plan B or ANY thing resembing a plan !

    3. following his character assassination of Mings a captain i/m/o he's dug a huge hole for himself appointing S J McGinn.

But no after offloading Bertie & Trezeguet Eeeer Gerrard wants to sign another winger he doesn't even play with wingers

    look at his signings

    a) Diego Carlos decent

    b) Augustinsson why ?

    c) Coutinho there is a player in there but Gerrard & his 10 coaching staff cannot get a tune out of him

    d) Lucas Digne is he a significant upgrade on Target NOT @ £26 million

    e) Calum Chambers decent acquisition far more assertive the Ezri Konsa

    f) Robin Olsen good backup goalkeeper

    g) Boubacar Kamara good signing but struggling to paper over the cracks

Christian Purslow should be made accountable for bringing in a manager with no track record other than winning the 2 horse race in Scotland

    In reply to your eloquently put (as ever) compiled list of signings, squire;

    a) Diego Carlos decent
    Certainly looked like an upgrade
    b) Augustinsson why ?
    Have you seen Digne lately?
    c) Coutinho there is a player in there but Gerrard & his 10 coaching staff cannot get a tune out of him
Window dressing. One for the youngsters to cream over.
    d) Lucas Digne is he a significant upgrade on Target NOT @ £26 million
He is, Target was that poor and lightweight.
    e) Calum Chambers decent acquisition far more assertive the Ezri Konsa
    Agreed
    f) Robin Olsen good backup goalkeeper
    Agreed
    g) Boubacar Kamara good signing but struggling to paper over the cracks
Top draw player. Unfortunately, due to his cohorts, he’s resigned to playing a giant game of ‘Whack-A-Mole’.

Given that the end of the window is a few days away and no-one else appears to be sniffing around him I'd say the latter.

West Ham now the only team with no points, perfect time to play charity Villa

Well not long to go now and still a lot of deadwood to get out and maybe one or two in, this guy Baldrick sounds like it's happening but all so very quiet...🤓

City and Arsenal up next, can't score and can't keep clean sheets, lose to Bournemouth who are clearly cannon fodder but so are we.

    Here we go again

I wonder how long Gerrard has?

Purslow is on record for firing Deano due to results at the back end of the previous season and the 5 losses on the spin, by the time we have played the next 2 games it's looking like 3 wins in 19 so pretty much the same scenario. The project isn't working, we are no better and under Smith I could see a playing style, not so under this manager.

Very difficult to disagree with you WCV, however, I'm curious as to what was our previous manager's playing style?

If anything, this season reminds me of Smith and his playing style, clueless with the ball, and static without it. We may be no better with SG, but we're certainly no worse than the Smith era, imo of course.

For gods sake Purslow, get the Cheaque book out or Sack him. We have already lost the next two games then, an international break, just get rid, he is dog ****.
