If Ross has not put pen to paper by Monday night I think it's clear he ain't interested in our club. There are many managers who would jump at the chance of running a club in scotlands top division with European football. Why take so long to agree a contract? I want a car, I want a housE etc these don't take long to agree. What about I want to manage our club. As I said if he ain't signed by Monday night I ain't interested in him.

It just may be that he does want to run this club, and recognises that the current contract offer means his hands will be tied, ie having to start loan signings with salary linked clauses

Maybe reason Tam left was the limits to his role

I’m not arguing against the club model however it seems to me they are wanting to recruit a coach not a manager, and therein lies the tension

There needs to be a point where we pull the plug. Is Jack Ross really worth 1/2 weeks of persuasion and negotiation? Plenty of guys would jump at the chance of managing our club. Time is running on here. If it's not a done deal by the end of play Monday then we move on imo.

Given Ashgar's hands on control at the club I would expect any potential manager to negotiate hard on how much say they have at the club.

Agreed,Tam initially would put up with any auld shyte Tony came up with because it was a massive promotion for him.Its completely different with an experienced manager like Ross.To be honest it came as a great surprise to me that he was even considering the job at Tannadice given the power that Tony has got.

Can't say im overly excited about Ross but i don't know many other better candidates available. His contact of players and people in the game might help us land a few good players hopefully. Glad Fox is staying on for continuity to some degree.

My money is on Tam being back on our shores before Christmas with his tail between his legs. Based on a hunch rather than anything concrete but just see it all going wrong for him. That said though, I honestly wish the man no ill will and he got us into Europe, over to Jack now to see if he can improve the product on the park whilst maintaining our top six place and challenging for Europe again. Group stages in Europe would be a nice start, no pressure

This is apparently not the issue though, but if it was, then seeyah and on to the next one. Our model has worked for us so far and we shouldn't change for no one.
