That was a mature performance from some of our younger players
Battling away and no one hiding
Whittaker has taken stick but he worked like a dog
Once Didzy cake on he settled everyone down and Grimsby were constantly on the back foot
Gordon was terrific as was George Abbott

What a class performance from Didzy. Wow. What will we do next season if he wraps up? He’s irreplaceable, as his recent spell out has proved.
Much better effort. Obviously not a great, tactical tippy tappy display, but I don’t care. What was needed tonight was first and foremost, show some effort. Put a shift in.
To do that and get 3 points is beyond expectations for tonight for me so well chuffed.

Slocombe coped well and it didn’t look good with Bass on crutches and leg brace at the end there so looks like he’ll be stepping up for a bit.

Give them a couple of days off now Maynard ffs. Don’t over train etc…let them recover properly and go again on Saturday because the home games are the issue.

Good interview from Artell... I heard some of the crowd booing and shouting things at the end... their first defeat in 8 with 5 odd wins...fans are fickle as we all know

    Amazing result.

Grimsby not lost at home since December.

That was an incredibly spirited performance and we looked more like our old selves again. Defence looked more solid and we were pressing, fighting and had loads of energy. Especially in the 2nd half.

Only negative is Bass...although Slocombe didn't put a foot wrong to be fair.

Bit worried about Saturday though. Chezzie at home is always a potential banana skin. Even if we play well.

Can't help think that if we had Didzy, Jodie, Austin etc fit all season...where we would be now? Not looking good for Bass now either. Very innocuous injury too. Very unlucky.
