His agent will be working overtime trying to get him a move while at the same time lining his own pockets so I'd imagine there will be no shortage of suitors.

Seeing some of the GK gaffes in the Premier and Championship in the last few weeks I think there will be quite a few clubs down south after him, even as a number 2 to step in when needed and claim a starting berth.

Re: Siegrist. covid may hamper his true value but I think his performances should ensure we get a decent fee for him. With us having a decent backup and needing the money i think the club will take anything above 700k but id prefer to see us get in to 7 figures with a sell on %

I wouldn't get too Man United (excited) about this. I'll put my head on the block & say it's a load of sh!t & young Benji will still be with us by the time we've cemented a top six spot come 3 April 21 if we're not all brown bread (dead). Btw out last 3 games are Celtic & Dons at Home & Sevco away, tough finish. There are thoosands of goalies out there & Benji (who I defended to the hilt btw when he was seen to make an error in his first couple of seasons) may be riding high at the moment but you're only as good as your next gaff, maybe by 5pm tomorrow. Wha'd be a goalie? He is currently excellent, brimful of confidence, & that'll do for me just now.
BREAKING....BREAKING.... Siegrist heads to the Emirates Stadium for £3.5 million in Arsenal new year's day swoop.

I'd argue and say you're only as good as your last game. The next gaff might never happen. He played a blinder vs Hibs and two days later is all over the papers as a target for Celtic and now CSKA & Schalke. Coincidence it came after the performance of his life? Most likely not. If he keeps this form up, and especially tomorrow vs Celtic, there will be bids in January imo. His agent has already said its likely he'll be gone. It's sh*te that you only get six good months out of a player before the vultures come swooping but that the nature of the game I guess.

Agreed mate, the days of us signing the likes of Bannon from Chelsea are long gone, before a manager at United has put his team in place it will be ripped to shreds if it's a good one.
There are actually times when i wonder why i even bother anymore,it really is impossible for a team of our size to compete on a level playing field, they even want your players these days when they haven't even played for the 1st team.
We used to get told"Wait till you see this striker playing for the youth team,he is FN dynamite."These days he's away before his highers.

It really is depressing mate. Remember when you really felt like you knew players because they were here for years. You hardly ever get that now. Six months of decent form and they're gone.

Totally, and the bit where you say why even bother anymore sums up exactly how I felt on THAT night at the end of the January transfer window in 2015. You keep going up week on week when you support oor wee cornershop watching mostly some right tripe at times but in the hope that you might, just might, get a return on that investment in the form of things getting really good. It happened for the fans post 1971 under the great man and it started again post Levein culminating in Sacknamara assembling a team at the start of 2014/15 that genuinely looked like they could win a title. The Snake put paid to that at the stroke of a pen and we were relegated less than eigh**** months later. It was gut wrenching and heart breaking at the same time but given the severity of our plummet, how Arabs have stuck behind the Club in that time is incredible and remarkable.

Hopefully we never see a transfer window like that again. It was hard enough, knowing what big part of the team they were and how much we would miss them, but to play such a big part in getting us to a cup final and then immediately jump ship was quite incredible. But to jump ship to the team we would be playing in the final, meaning they couldn't even play in the final that they had earned the right to play in? That was a proper kick in the stones.
