Ride the Lightning was the first metal album I ever bought. F’uckin love that album.

First saw them on the Justice for all tour at Edinburgh Playhouse in 88. What a gig. 16 years old & me & my mate missed our bus back to Aberdeen 😂

Agree first 4 albums were magic - my favourite band by a country mile at that time. Then they got all trendy & went a bit showbiz and have produced a lot of sh’ite since.

Saw them at Donnington in 91 second on bill to AC/DC (some lineup that year) then didn’t see them again until Hydro in late 2017. They were pretty good to be fair. Played loads of the old stuff.

I read the other day we had a scout at a Greek top flight game, which lead me to wonder which obvious target ex SPFL player is plying their trade there? Surely we're not thinking outside the usual limited box...
