He lost a lot of respect over the Scott Boyd fiasco. His wife went into premature labour as the plane touched down in Austria or where ever the pre season tour was. Boyd decided to go home straight away... as anybody would. McIntyre hounded him out after that. He got suspended for going awol & breach of contract!! Graham & Foster were counties 2 spfa reps. They both helped Boyd & organised a rally round to pay Boyds fines. Spfa/sfa hearing ruled in Boyds favour & ordered county to pay back Boyds fines & wages. Because Foster & Graham fought so hard for Boyd, they were banished.

Agreed, and look at the players he's been signing for Livi. Guys from Forfar, East Fife, kids from the Scottish Premiership, hardly inspiring out the box signings. We cannot afford to be bringing in someone with little to no managerial experience whose only experience at that, is Scottish lower leagues with part time football teams.

Interested that hopkin has seemingly put name forward shows he has a bit of ambition.

Great player in his day albeit down south - not always meaning good manager but does mean experience of some big matches as player.

Didn’t realise he went to Livi last December. Means relegation on his CV

He has then done really well getting full time club to win all their games and then kept the momentum going into next season.

We are either going to get someone on way up or someone on way down where we judge the failures not to be such that they are a bad manager, eg Hughes or McIntyre - that is reality of our position.

I’m happy to get someone on way up. Hopkin or Jack Ross would seem the best candidates in that respect. I’m guessing Jack Ross is not available so Hopkin needs to be considered
