Pretty sure theyd get a reprieve, i think thats what the EFL are kind of hoping for in a strange twisted kind of way!
Macclesfield need a 6 point penalty off the EFL (for failure to play players on time in March, not as I originally thought for not fulfilling a fixture) and that would mean on PPG they would end up below Stevenage. That sounds a lot - BUT they already have a 2 point penalty suspended which would get activated - so actually it only needs a 4 point additional penalty to send them down which is possible as it's far from their 1st offence.
Might be a little premature, but congrats China, looks like you're about to finally become a Football League Club once again.
Can't see any scenario now where you'll be denied other than NL not being able to get next season started which apparently means the EFL won't relegate, which would leave only one place open again and might complicate things, but you'll probably have been confirmed by then and it would be the play off winner denied.
Gloves were off whilst it was all up in the air but the very best of luck to you.
After watching the interview yesterday, I have very little confidence we'd win the semi-final, never mind the final, I didn't detect a slither of desire. There might be a very good reason for that, we don't know what's going on behind the scenes, players may have been affected or there's enough of them worried enough to not want to play, but short of another interview that suggests otherwise, I feel we've already conceded defeat.
We'll have to throw our support behind Yeovil, or if they're up for it - Stockport would be a bit of fairy tale after what they have been through.
If the NL are unable to start next season I dont see how we would survive ....??
Cant just take a year off we'd have zero staff only the Reedz brothers as we certainly couldnt pay everyone from the tea lady, club shop all the way to players/management.
Who's going to foot the bill for testing for all the clubs likely to compete in play off's? This is one of the reasons I'm not convinced the play off's will happen in the NL.
There surely should be enough money English football to fund the testing of the 12 teams in playoff positions in L1, L2 and NL to maintain the integrity of the respective competitions? That maybe the only slither of hope for clubs like ours?
On the basis of the playoffs being completed by the time of player contracts ending at the end of June we ideally needed to be back in training this week if Neal Ardley's aspirations of a four week preparation period is required prior to commencing the playoffs. As I have stated previously that would have taken us to the third weekend in June for the first round of playoffs and then the following weekend for the final to which contracts would run out early the week after.
There has been no statement or anything from the National League either since the EFL announcement last Thursday that relegation and promotion will still happen across the respective leagues. So another week has gone by with no apparent movements forward?
The clock is ticking and it will soon get to a point where there will not be enough time for clubs to prepare for the playoffs unless they do something radical and automatically extend those players out of contracts for a month. That is presuming players who are going to be out of contract want to play. Plus those who are in contract as well? At the end of the day it has to be safe.
It's only been announced today that players in the premier league can begin tackling again in training and have minimal contact so they are essentially the test case before other leagues follow.

Neal Ardley: Notts County boss harbours promotion hopes via play-offs
Notts County are hoping to regain their EFL place at the first attempt after being relegated in May 2019
Notts County manager Neal Ardley hopes there is still a chance of winning promotion back to the English Football League via the play-offs.
County are third, three points behind Harrogate and seven off leaders Barrow.
The EFL said on Thursday that clubs will still be promoted and relegated from its three divisions if seasons are ended amid the coronavirus crisis.
With the regular National League season having been ended, Ardley hopes play-offs might still be an option.
"The play-offs would be my first choice," Ardley, whose side were relegated from the Football League for the first time in their history last season, told BBC East Midlands Today.
"You're going to need four weeks of training to go into play-offs so these decisions need to be made.
"They can't just drag it out and and say 'we're not sure'. It's gone on long enough now."
Under normal circumstances, the National League champions and the winners of the six-team play-offs would be promoted to League Two.
