I eas always taught playing football that if you get a chance at goal..you should take it. If you don't buy a ticket..you canny win the raffle!

Derby at Tannadice was the perfect example, Harkes asked the question by hitting the target, keeper should have saved.

I don't see any difference in our chance creation this season as I did last season. Last season we had the 'golden boy' up front and it was all the midfields fault. This season he's gone and folk are suddenly blaming the strikers. I appreciate the strikers at the club aren't good enough, but they've hardly been getting chance after chance laid on for them every game. They need to be burying the chances they do get, last nights was a shocker, but they simply haven't been getting enough of them. We've been craving creativity in the middle of the park for about 5 years now. It beggars belief why we can't seem to rectify it. Instead we persevere with boys like Harkes, Pawlett and Clark to supply the ammo. It's a fcuking headshaker.

I agree but the chances I mentioned we created really have to be buried. They were sitters. Actually add to that Clark's header against St Mirren. None of those hit the target, shocking.

agree - I am now thinking someone else picks the team not Tam, he is head coach and I wouldn't be surprised if there is a committee doing this maybe not by name but he doesn't have the full control here possibly? If he does he probably needs to look at a career move

What's worst for me is that if you're not going to bring in creativity thru the middle you would want it out wide to get decent crosses in or beat a man, we have neither. All wing backs at the club are terrible at crossing, as was Robson before McCann.

Freeman who was terrible before going off last night is prob the most attacking of them all but his strength seems to be driving into the box and not his crossing

Scarily for me the best crosser of the ball might actually be Watt but given how awful our other strikers are we probably need him in the box.

I cant see us going out and getting new wing backs, the 3 not including sporle that we already have are probably gonna be our main ones for some time so we absolutely need to find some creativity thru the middle.

sheep isn't bad at crossing - hearing he has a knock so that may be an issue just now but aye watts crossing is beyond the rest of the team. He is a good signing, Mulgrew and McMann too - the rest so far have been poor very very poor combined with below average already at club. Only players (and I won't include youth 21 and below here) decent are siegriest, McMann, freeman, Edwards, Mulgrew, Watt and to the horror of others Butcher. From the youth I include potential still at club mochrie, meekison, Moore, Neilson and graham. Players who shouldn't be playing for us are sporle, clark, mcnulty, hoti, harkes along with experienced ones out on loan.

Biouamou or whatever he is - that's just a total mind fvck.

Levitt is on loan and we have 2 new players - so I include them in decent just now.

you look at that (my opinion btw) and we have a gk, defence, midfield reliant on 1 or 2 and attack reliant on 1. creativity reliant on no one.

At least in Shankland we had someone who could compete. Win the ball, or do something with the ball at his feet. Shankland positionally is miles in front of Mcnulty too. In Clark and Mcnulty we have 2 players who just are not cut out for it. Every touch is a **** one, every tackle is a stretch and a foul, 99% of headers are lost or again another foul, passing is off, continually outmuscled. Honestly if we persevere with that formation and more importantly team selection we will be relegated. Clark in attacking midfield is hilarious, runs about pointing and throwing his arms up in the air yet he offers **** all, wouldnt get near the starting line of any other team in this league.

Going forward we need to get Mcnulty as far away from the team as possible. Use Pawlett and Clark as impact subs because that is their strength and stop using our full backs as wingers. Get a partnership forming down the right and left between our full backs and wide men and get seeing what the hell is out there in the freebie market in terms of a big striker and SOME PACE to play out wide.

I was a fan of Courts but this has just turned into another Mickey Mellon team. I wanted to turn a Dundee Derby off at 0-0.

Yip. At the end of the day, McNulty isn't good enough in any capacity & Clark is an impact sub. We could do with upgrades on both. Couple that with the fact we create very little, the need to bury the chances we do get is magnified. Some serious recruitment needs done in the summer.
