Possibly, but if when he was asked Burchnall had said something like "Cal Roberts wasn't available for selection due to an internal issue, that's all I want to say on the matter" that would have been more than adequate for me. I don't need any more as I'm not interested in gossip, if I was I would get involved with social media. Just don't pretend that nothing has happened, when it's obvious it has.

I think that's the most that happened. In which case, like I've said above, I can understand why the club chose to keep it internal. If Cal had 'not been selected' against Kings Lynn after the previous team lost 5-1, then it would have been obvious there was an issue and the club would be foolish to deny/downplay it any longer, but clearly whatever issue there was has now been concluded, so their low key strategy is understandable.
