They are,and we used one many times when we were in the Champ last time, obviously this would require a change in formation from this season, but given the step up in quality I would imagine it`s very likely.
Boyle - CB - Mentioned many times on here has gone to Huddersfield. Hopefully nudges REG down the pecking order...

I find it worrying that in the recent interview Barker says that we need answers from Smith and Icky quickly otherwise we will have to look for replacements. Well whe/ther smudge and icky stay or not we still need at least one CB and forward, so are we really sat back waiting. Also warne said previously that Smith wouldn’t keep us waiting, apparently they don’t know him that well. The lack of early signings is not good, and as much as I rate Smith if he goes to the pigs, that is betrayal it will show what he thinks of the club, fans, manager and the chairman.
Richie Barker said they are drawing up plans to replace Icky and Smudge should they move on. They want an answer soon otherwise they will miss out on targets. They want to know whether they are moving on targets or not. They aren't sitting there waiting on them both without a contingency for one or neither staying. They aren't stupid.
They haven't said anything about not looking for players alongside those they may need to sign if we lose one or two of the aforementioned. To me it sounds as though they want to know from the pair of them so that they can make a move on players who they have targeted as replacements before those players go somewhere else. They will undoubtedly be looking at targets anyway that they wish to sign to complement the squad irrespective of whether either of those two stays.
Just because they are waiting on Icky and Smudge it doesn't then mean they aren't looking at other signings that they know they need to make. You're blurring two separate situations into one.
