Blackburn Rovers look favourites to get the player on a rest-season-loan.
    Championship

Cardiff City - Sign 26 year-old centre-back Nat Phillips, rest-season-loan, from Liverpool FC.

Blackburn Rovers were favourites to get the player, guess he dislikes chicken.

Leeds United were also in for the player.

Stevenage - Reject bid of £150,000 from Exeter City, for 22 year striker Aaron Pressley.
Believed a bid of £200,000 plus add-ons, could get the player.

Cambridge United & Cheltenham Town have made offers to take the player on loan.

    Premier League

Crystal Palace - Agree a deal to sign 19 year-old midfielder Adam Wharton from Blackburn Rovers,
reported the fee could rise to £22m.
Crystal Palace had a bid of £15m rejected last week.
    The player having a medical.

    Thoughts
The transfer could help release funds for Blackburn Rovers, with the Indian Government pulling
the purse strings of money leaving India.
Money available for perhaps a Jerry Yates bid, from Swansea City.

Don't think a permanent deal for Yates would go through, Blackburn Rovers have said, they have
enough money to carry the clubs finances until the end-of-season.
Blackburn Rovers owners Venky's are not in charge of their own finances, after the Indian Government
stepped in, this comes after -

June 2023 - Venky's owners of Blackburn Rovers since 2011, had to apply to the High Court in
New Delhi for emergency permission to pay outstanding tax bill to U/K HMRC.
After application to send £26m to Blackburn Rovers was turned down, when the Indian Government
refused to issue a ' No Objection ' certificate to payments to Blackburn Rovers.
U/K HMRC were close to issuing Rovers with a winding up petition.
A judge in New Delhi allowed Venky's to pay the tax bill, but insisted that a bond of the same amount
of money to be lodged with the Directorate of Enforcement, which is a arm of the Indian Government
set up to target money laundering.
The judge said, the money what was released to pay HMRC must go to this only, if used on anything
else, the bond paid to the Indian Government would be forfeited.
The Indian Government have cracked down on money leaving the Country, so now Venky's have to
apply to a Indian court to take money out of the country, therefore the Indian courts are in charge
    of Blackburn Rovers finances.

Yes I think it’s likely to be a loan if it happens

Even tourists cannot take Indian rupees out of the country to protect the value of the currency so I’m not surprised on the clampdown.

If you look at my posts 171 & 175 - Blackburn Rovers trying for loan deals, then there is Yates after this.

I brought rupees out of the India, then gave them to mates to use last year.

Fair enough. If you had been searched on departure it may have been a tricky situation though
Don’t think Ind rupees can be bought or sold in UK at currency exchanges so you did well to get shut
