All said and done - ML didn't do much for Notts on the bigger stage. He was pretty much woeful in the play-offs and the final and against the better teams, he hasn't been that much better. Many Wrexham fans don't rate him and I think the fact they didn't move for him says it all.
Now saying that, his work rate is phenomenal, but that doesn't guarantee anything (as proved at Notts towards the end of last season).
$700K isn't a massive gamble for Millwall, but if they are putting the hopes of their season on him - then it is a big gamble. It's an odd club for him to go to though. A long way from home, not a very friendly place and not known for much, apart from their fans.
Good luck to the lad though and he is very humble and has a great way with him. I just hope he doesn't get swallowed up and thrown to one side.

As far as I know, there has been no denial from the club officially, so it's probably happening. However, other clubs may come in for him, Notts and Millwall may not agree on the terms or even ML may decide It's not the move for him.
D-DAY TODAY. Its likely that we find out the truth today. Either a malicious attempt to upset the apple cart and earn a few quid on line via click bait or a genuine scoop that means Millwall is Maccas next destination. I for one hope the former is true and will be gutted if he leaves. As for some of the negativity towards one of our finest strikers ever to play at Meadow Lane ( stats and goals don't lie ) , Shame on you all! He has been a brilliant servant for us, a positive, tireless bundle of energy on the pitch and would leave with nothing but gratitude from me.

It’s more hope than anything but the ideal scenario for me is that Macca stays for this coming season to help us get to league one especially if his original contact was for three years. By the end of the season he would have honoured that contract.
Then regardless of whether we get promoted he could leave the club, the club would still get a decent amount and by then he will be 28 and still in his peak.
If it’s not to be and it happens this summer (today) then like others I will be gutted and it would put things on a bit of a downer in terms of our pre season optimism for being right up their as promotion contenders.
However I have trust in the radar whatever happens.
I think lullapie must have forgotten Maccas record number of goals in the National league and the fact he won the golden boot award last season. Not bad for someone who " disappears" in some games. If he goes I wish him all the best and hope we get someone else who will get the same amount of goals, although I dont think that will happen
I don't think ML disappears as much as the better teams set up to stop his supply and chances. His relatively poor performance against the better teams is a reflection on how we set up and the instance on retaining possession which in turn squeezes players into a smaller area. The Euros are a case in point; most teams have been playing the same way we try to play and at times you have 15/16 players in a third of the pitch. The top players in the world can't score against that so what do we expect ML to do? 50+% possession means nothing if you only manage one half hearted attempt at goal. Another striking Notts/England similarity is the long punt up to a lone Kane and the long punt up to a lone McGoldrick, both ineffective in the main because most of the players are in or around the final third and the transition is too slow.
Seeing people on FB unhappy about club announcing captaincy before discount ST deadline day. Sending misleading message to fans. Disappointing of club.
