Because he's not willing to take a possible hit to our finances, even though it'd be for the betterment of the game up here!
Yes that is the most likely reason but short sighted and proven wrong I would say. Surely since that old club called Rang*rs died and there was a little bit more competition (for minor places i agree), our clubs finances improved, crowds went up etc.... This myth that we need the cheeks is what holds the game back. We would all be better off if they just *****d off.
More folk would pay to see a competitive league and above all a league thats fair and not rigged.
SFAgtf until there a overhaul of football in this country I am out.
Stewart Milne is the only Aberdeen ‘fan’ I’ve heard, that has that position on Sevco. Twice he’s came out unprompted in support of the Huns & let’s not forget his total bungling of blootering them out the league in the first place.
Is it because
1- Hes under pressure from his Lodge
2- His stewardship of AFC isn’t squeaky clean either
3- Hes a weapons grade bell end
4- All of the above
Holy f@ck ive just seen that penalty yesterday.
Would Motherwell have got the double whammy bonus up the other end against them?. Absolutely no f@cking chance. Would we have got it? Would Hearts have got it, would St Johnstone have got it , would anyone else have got it. Not a f@cking hope in hell.
Its a struggle to not lose interest when you see sh@t like that. You know Sinclair wont get banned and Thompson wont get demoted. It will just be "as you were"
F@ck off
Holy sh!t.
That's just incredible.......and as has been said higher up, nothing will happen to either Sinclair or Thomson.
What did Sinclair say post-match? (Someone alluded to it higher up?)
It's all been said really.....we live in a horrible little country in a footballing sense (as well as others....but save that for the various political threads), governed and run by short sighted, self-interested, Thatcherite scum.
Enough's been said about our own esteemed chairman and his various espousals in the lead up to, and post, the death of r*****s.
It seems that, not even covertly these days, Scottish football is run for the benefit of two, odious and morally bankrupt, organisations.
No-one in authority is prepared to stand up to this cabal/cartel, indeed it seems the majority of the major players are content to play along with this, in a wholly distasteful and obsequious fashion, tugging forlocks in gratitude at the few crumbs falling from the high table.
Today is the 27th November.
Thus far I have attended in the flesh one Aberdeen game.
One.
Away to Ross County, some ten miles from my front door.
I don't think this has happened ever since I first wandered into the Pitt as a seven year old lad (Halloween 1970, 4-0 home win v Joooooot).
I have no imminent plans for number two, it's looking more and more likely that, for the first time in nearly half a century , a season may come and go without me troubling a turnstile in AB24.
I never thought I'd live (by definition I guess) to see this happen, yet, in all honesty, I don't feel that bothered.
That the likes of me is gripped by this level of apathy, I KNOW I'm not alone, should be causing panic stations amongst those running our game.
That's not a statement borne of arrogance, or some kind of "top-red-ness" assumption, but when the likes of me that went week in week out to watch, and let's not beat around the bush here, sh!te for decades are peripheral, things are well on the slide.
But, hey, the cheeks are selling out so all is good.
It's nae wonder kids growing up in Mastrick, Kincorth et al, are parading about in their Man City, Chelski, Barca etc. strips rather than, like the seven year old me, nae sleeping with excitement at the thought of a Saturday walk down the Merkland Road.
Ive been to one game as well, Motherwell away in the league. Combination of work, McInnes & just knowing how utterly pointless the whole thing is.
I’m not a fan of ‘well by any means but I couldn’t be any angrier if it was us that got shafted yesterday. Nothing will ever change in this country unless the fans stop going.
I haven't been to a game since 1995, and I really can't see the point of going again.
Although I might go to a game in the new stadium if it ever gets built, which it won't.
