Not if we sign someone better. McMullan is decent on his day but you can count on one hand how often that's happened in the last 2 years. One of the most unintelligent footballers I have ever seen play for us.

    I'm not suggesting he is

Thinking more the likes of Keith Watson etc who we stupidly let walk away around the same time when we weren't signing better

We haven't learned from letting seasoned players who are good enough, McMullan has done well recently and offers something different

Very well put TTT, especially the unintelligent part. Motherwell was a prime example. It took the Well players 15/20 mins to figure him out then he was completely nullified. He tries the same moves over and over again. Flick the ball round one side of the defender and run around the other. Motherwell countered this by having the centre half sweep up every ball he played passed the full back. He was eventually hooked after 60 odd mins. On the occasion when he does make it to the to the by line, his crossing is the worst I've seen in a long time. His head is down and its a hit & hope. We're fortunate we had a very intelligent striker in the box last season who was able to get on the end of some of his crosses.

Do agree ......... his crossing is worse than Kevin Gallaghers (apert fae the Barca goal obviously)

It's okay being fast and skinning players , but, some composure is required for the final ball. The give away ,as you say, is the cross with the head down. No idea where any team mate is. Fair enough, he might be just picking out an area, like 18 yard box, penalty spot, 6 yard box etc, but even then half of them end up in the stands.

Personally, I would keep him as back-up and also to stop other teams adding to their squads. Really looking forward to some more young guns coming through soon, looks like it might be the way forward .

If he goes to the Fun he'll no be coming back to haunt us anytime soon. I wouldn't worry too much.

He's a dangerous wee fkr on his day but that's no very often,he'd be a good subby to have in certain situations so I'd keep Mcmullan until the summer but only if he doesn't sign a pre-contract with anyone. If he does this then bin him. We certainly don't want him in the trenches if we are dragged into a dog fight.

We are struggling for bodies just now so on that alone I'd be happy enough for him to stay until the summer but not beyond that.

Played well when he has actually had a chance in an balanced attacking formation, which hasn't happened enough

He simply hasnt been given a run of games to show what he can bring at this level which imo is a very handy player and a good asset to have and one you don't let go to a city rival

That's due to Mellon and the formation, we could have won that game on Saturday had he and/or Bolton been introduced after an hour or so

He has looked OK on occasion but has he scored or had an assist? Can't think of any. Compare that with Bolton who maybe doesn't look as good during matches but is delivering with a goal and assist lately.
