Hopefully the last day of the Round of 16 features just as much entertainment as the previous three days. The most boring games went to shootouts and we've been really blessed this World Cup. I'm a neutral, so the results today won't affect me too much. I'm basically rooting for anybody but France & Brazil at this point.

I can't say that I have been bored by any of the games I have watched, even the shoot out games had elements of interest. Although this mornings game badly needs a goal.

Finally a goal, Kane from the penalty spot. Sanchez can have no complaints over the penalty award. All the dirty tricks and delay tactics mean nothing now Kane has scored. There are so many incidents where players are rolling about, feigning injury. The ref needs to be stronger and shouldn't be intimidated when he's getting surrounded.

A chance squandered at the far post by Alli. Harry Maguire lucky not have been booked for diving.

England need to try and keep their heads and not try and give the ball away as Walker did. Cuadrado with the best chance for Colombia so far. I hope that's the only one they get!

Excellent save from Pickford to deny Uribe. All square, a powerful header by Mina, this despite England having Trippier on the post.

All the way to penalties then. Extra-time was a non-event for England, bar the last seven minutes where they at least created openings. England in normal time tried to sit on the 1-0 lead, but went too defensive in my eyes after the introduction of Dier.

Just got back from work. Heartbreaking goal to give up in stoppage time. Maybe Southgate will have better luck in penalties as a manager.

Can’t say which team deserves it more as I just turned it on.

A great penalty by Trippier and then the save from Pickford. All up to you Dier. And he's done it. This don't happy very often, England winning on penalties. Well done England!
