So the World cup goes to Europe this year. The three really big names, Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar are no longer involved, so it remains for someone else to step up to the plate and really hit the big time.

If it’s not to be us then I hope it’s Belgium, who’ve been great to watch. What an astute choice of manager Martinez has been he’s got some big names / personalities in the side and managed to make them gel.

What a towering header from Maguire to give England the lead. Keep it going England!

A good half for England, only the one goal and could easily have had a couple more. Sweden have offered very little so far. England have again proved a danger from set-pieces.

England at times seems to have an extra man, all the time in the world for Alli to head in, 2-0.

If this stays the same plaudits will no doubt go to the scorers, but Pickford now has made a couple of important saves.

That poor free-kick from Augustinsson just about sums Sweden's day up. What a waste!

Extra-time it is then for Russia and Croatia. Cheryshev's goal was quality, but i do think that the five defender's in and around Kramaric for the Croatia could have done better as Mandzukic put the ball in.
