Don't think Johnstone is coming, it would suit man city if hart came to VP but would end his England spot?? Now Terry has made the plunge he may attract others to join the mission!

Not a big fan of Joe Hart but I wouldn't say no. A month ago mentioning a signing like this would be seen a deluded but it's not anymore with Terry arriving. I still prefer Johnstone though I think?

I think you might be psychic Dave. We're prepared to pay the 15m asking price and 4/1 for his signature. How true this is I don't know.

Not a fan of Hart either. Seems to poncy for a keeper for me and he gives me a nervous breakdown when he keeps the ball that split second too long at his feet. Lloris can get away with that, but he won't keep getting so lucky.
Bring Gollini back and give him his Italian keeper coach. It is just for the season anyway as we have decent prospects coming through and we will get good money from him after he looks good behind Baker/Terry/Chester all season.
To be fair Gollini didn't do much wrong. Changing managers when we did didn't help matters. Although I rate Johnstone higher than Gollini just about, we lost conststancy at the back when we were starting to keep clean sheets. The change of keepers didn't help.

I know what you mean but just have a little think about what having (until recently) the England Goalkeeper between the sticks and the former England captain centre half leading the Lions out onto Villa park in the championship. With a striker up front who should have got 20+ last season and a few young and talented kids. Not to mention some of the best players poached from around us (Lansbury, Hourihane, Chester). Oh and the RR from the Leicester team who won the prem after winning promotion with them from the champion ship.
If we get off to a good start we will have mentally beaten he opposition before the ball has been kicked.
Get Hart if we have any chance it would be the biggest coup of the year
Well bookies shortening odds at 4/1 and maybe because it's a loan deal. Would get Hart back in the UK and no complications for man city as they do not want him playing for a premium side so unless he goes abroad, we are a good option especially with JT on board!
I would prefer hart to Jonstone but to be honest either would be very good for us!
Quite a few lads round here are season ticket holders @ Huddersfield Town
Without exception all were singing the praises of Jed Steer (whilst on loan there)
Good shot stopper
Safe handling under pressure
Marshals his area really well
A confident assured keeper by all accounts
Apart from the above he's nowt going for him!
One things certain he ain't gonna get the opportunity to demonstrate his quality with us![]()
Glenn Whelan should be signing for us before too much longer. Good! Another experienced hard player. The more I think about Joe Hart the better it seems. Our odds of signing him are now on 7/4.
Either he is on his way or we are looking to hurry up the Sam Johnstone decision
