If your work asked you to go to a conference in Glasgow would they pay your travelling expenses and meals etc? If they didn't would you go? No doubt SD seemed a worthwhile thing at the time to the people running the club. We now have a board that seemingly don't care about the fans in any way - what's better?

I'm not going into what I know to have been given to the club but it was a good bit more than 'a few quid'.
The question will always be, where did DFCSS get their money from, when they only had a few hundred actual members who paid a fiver a year. The answer is they took DFCTV revenues from the club. People who subscribed to this service, did they know DFCSS were taking their money? FPS took the service back immediately but for 3 years, DFCSS raked it in and are still sitting on that money. Their latest minutes mention a bank account change and concerns over charges, but they don't divulge their hoard. Any reason why not? And Dave Forbes is still involved, a guy who left FPS with a £800k bill.

Given the DFCSS directors allegedley drank dry every boardroom they visited, the answer is pretty obvious

Plenty been members from the start, I'm sure there are some in and amongst it.

A couple post on Pravda actually.

Are you saying no members have the hankering for the blazer days?

I'd be astonished if that was true.
You are probably correct Rross. It isn't going to happen because there isn't any money to replace the backing given to the club via FPS. The blazers are not going to take over!

    Wrong again.

DFCSS invested supporters' money to set up a service for the supporters. If anything the club took the service, and therefore the money, from the society. They did so without warning or explanation which was sneaky and immoral.

I don't see the connection between allegedly claiming expenses for alcohol on trips to Supporters Direct conferences and allegedly taking complimentary drinks in a boardroom - a reciprocal courtesy by the way.

The size of their 'hoard' is there for all members to see.

Explain about the £800,000 bill left FPS by Dave Forbes. First I've heard about that one.

hmac, I genuinely thought that DFCSS was the organisation that took over from the Administrator and that allowed the club to carry on. I assumed that they had played a significant part and that was why they held the shares in the club which they handed over/sold the FPS to give FPS their majority shareholding.

I admit my comment about revereing DFCSS for this role was an attempt at banter given that DFCSS seems to get so much adverse comment.

I'd be very grateful if you would explain what really happened as I have obviously got things wrong.

H can speak for himself but maybe a tad unfair asking him to comment on specifics.

But as Kk did say I'd love it, love it if he did.
