I liked these at the times, easy on the ear....don't sound owt like Aussies...right Marty Feldman eyes though!

They did some great songs (this being one of them) but I think they suffered for being known more for Land Down Under which unfortunately put them in the novelty song category. Shame really as they were a good band.

Loving this one Brin. The guy is still filling arenas around the world, with a voice like his why wouldn't he be. Would love to catch him live one day.

I have to admit I've been looking forward to this '80's thread (loved the '60s one too), but not contributed so far.

Went to see my first gig with a mate in '84 not knowing what to expect and it blew me away, just the live music in particular.
It really changed everything for me musically and I've never looked back, still loving going to see bands/artists big and small in venues big and small to this day well over 30 years later.

Here's the band that started everything for me, a few years before I saw them but there will be more, so I think it's interesting to see the transformation of a stadium filling band even now, with 100 million+ album sales to their name but almost forgotten in their own country these days.
