He has a relegation clause in his contract,it will say something like,"Youse have been shyte ah season before i arrived and if you continue on your shytie trajectory when i take over i can bale if i want to.
Its not Hearts who put it in his contract he insisted on it,as far as i'm aware Hearts are the first Championship club in history to have two managers ready for the push for promotion.

Stendel signed a 2.5 year contract in December by the way and unless he has left by his own volition that will need to be paid up.There was nothing in the press as far as i'm aware saying he had left his post before Neilson took over.

The thing is we can all speculate but the devil will be in the detail here and none of us know that.

What I did find interesting was Neilson being quoted on the BBC website as saying: (with the fans) "...together we managed to restore the club back to where it belongs."

I think hearts actions in last couple of weeks have showed a real lack in class. Am i bothered Neilson is away - umm not really as we got compo but am i concerned at the timing with the court case etc. of course. Clear intentions to harm our club here. Should be with spfl but its personal and now a downright pantomime

Hearts clearly thought we would be fizzing at Neilson going. Their messageboards seem perplexed we arent. Short memories eh what was that banner on the plane above tynecastle ??

Agree mate. Not bothered Neilson is away. But he has done one over on us. No way we will be signing players until we know where we are playing and who the new manager is. Only around 5 weeks to new season and other teams are getting players on. Hayes has joined Aberdeen. Any players looking at our club just now will surely be put off by this circus.

Don’t think players will be put off because of what’s going on, with the vast majority of players it’s all about money, if we’ve got it to splash the players will come

If i was a player who liked a wee punt i would bet on DUFC being a Premiership club next season,i wouldna touch the Jambo's with a barge pole though,FACT.

So if hearts win their court case Stendel needs to be paid for 2 years if his contract as they didna get relegated?
Think Hearts see the writing on the wall and getting Neilson in is to soften the blow when they decide no to continue their dishonest, self preservation action.

I am fully expecting a further legal paper issued on United. To relegate us to div1 and swap with thistle. Hearts will also demand shankland for free as compo for having to relegate us and will demand we abandon the Jim statue and in place have one of the budgie smuggler herself. Our season ticket money will be transferred to tynecastle and all gate receipts for next season (especially forfar, montrose and peterhead games), Robbie is allowed to pump Ogrens wife and must contribute to hearts foundation monthly. This is the logical next steps to the season chaps.
