You log into a secure site via a proxy type thing. My company uses a thing called Pulse Secure and once connected you're essentially on the company server with full access and it's all fire walled and protected. That's as much as I know about these things.
From a banking perspective remember many people, including me, do most of their banking online and the banks all have secure (mostly) links and apps that can be used. Obviously they've all had their problems in the past but it all seems secure enough now![]()
I was meaning more other family members or flatmates being around whilst the employee is "working".
Anyone who is in the vicinity can be accessing your details.
Was on the phone to std life today and could hear voices in the background.
I asked if the employee was working from home, she confirmed she was so I terminated the call before I gave out any details.
Complaint has already been emailed.
Don't think this has been thought thru.
Your normal employee dosent have a locked study to go and take calls from, just seems all a bit slack.
Can see where you're coming from and hadn't considered that to be fair.
I'll be honest though, it does smack just a little of paranoia. If you phone a call centre you'll hear voices in the background but the person you're speaking to is wearing a headset and their screens have privacy covers on them. I'd hope the same applies at 29 Acacia Road when they're working from home.
Slightly but I don't like it.
I doubt they will have privacy screens.
People are always writing down acct numbers etc on wee writing pads, saves them toggling between screens....has every employee working from home gonna dispose of these in an appropriate manner....doubt it.
Anyway a complaint to a financial institution is usually upheld for £30 or £50 so worth the email.
Most of them have targets for upholding complaints.
Worrying information about people working from home which in some cases might be OK but in other cases has not been fully thought out including the disposal of confidential waste by people working from home instead of in their office.
All confidential waste should be shredded by people working from home prior to it being deposited in their recycling bin.

Sturgeon is "anxious".....try being one of her subjects.
I think she has manged to get herself in such a position that she almost single handedly is going to defeat this virus. No wonder she is anxious. There have been mistakes made and she has created the situation where she and Jason Leitch are alone in choosing and delivering the policies. Take the test rugby game. 700 people for a stadium of 70k, that's 1% of the capacity. No club could survive on an occupancy rate of 1%. Same with pubs and restaurants, how on earth can politicians expect businesses to survive if they can only have a max 25% of their potential customers in their premises.
I don't mind if she changes her mind, it's not a sign of weakness and it shouldn't be a cause for resignation.
Single handedly defeated the virus!!!
Do you believe that?
More worrying does she believe that?
She dosent bother about the economy as she thinks that's something else she can blame on the UK.....then we leave Europe takes control and we all live happily ever after.
Rampant inflation cannot be far away now to go with its 1st cousin mass unemployment.
Still no long till st Andrews day.😂
