Excellent result. We clearly are a confidence side at the moment and it showed when we went in front but also when we went behind during the game. It was a very open game and hence why there were six goals in this. It could quite easily have been a 5-4 or a 4-4.

The turning point was certainly the introduction of Knight which gave the Woking back line the run around and put the cat amongst the pigeons so to speak which then also freed up Knowles. Pleased for Jimmy Knowles to get his first career hat-trick and coming on a day when we needed someone to step up and fill in for Wootton he was the man who remained calm and composed and delivered when through on goal three times.

Whilst we are scoring goals at the moment we need to stay focused on keeping tight at the back so we don't end up having to come back from behind like we have done in a number of games recently. Although it shows we do have the character to get back in games.

Our goals for column is now increasing to match other teams and our goal difference is now better than Hartlepool above us and Cheaterfield, Halifax and Wrexham below us. We are one behind Stockport and four behind Torquay. If we can keep slowly increasing our goal difference it could be worth an extra point and a higher league place come the end of the season.

Yes, I think the manager (Head Coach) definitely needs praise for his attacking, early subs and change in the way we played. Credit t Burchnall, and the Notts players for showing spirit.

I'm enjoying life without Doyle to be fair! Reeves is more mobile as a focal point.

Too right he is keeping a few quiet now he has 2 wins out of 3 league games.

He made subs today that Ardley wouldn’t have made let’s be honest but he is gone now so we need to look forward.

Seeing people on twitter coming out with cr*p like we played better under Ardley/Fullerton 2 at HT need to remember two things 1.Burchnall has been here 10 days 2.This is Ardley squad 3.He hasn’t been subject to bullying like JF was at Bolton so nothing like him.

Early days yet but hopefully he carries on the good work at Hartlepool.

Enjoyed that today tbh. Credit where it’s due, IB was on the front foot with his instructions and substitutions.
Glad for Knowles, just rewards for a great second half, aided by having Knight and pace next to him.

Reeves also more pivotal today and has now proven (in this formation anyways) Doyle not needed.

Does KW slot straight back in? Do we change from 3 at the back now confidence is rising? Interesting times.

I think Wootton comes back in - Knight looked knackered at the end even though he’d only come on as a sub, so probably keep him in that role now. We really missed KW defending set pieces today as well, even though it’s not his main role.

I think you keep the same back five, only other question is whether Rodrigues starts ahead of Griffiths, but not sure his mercurial nature is necessarily suited to away at Hartlepool.

Stockport versus Bromley ends 0-0. A pretty good day all round.

    Next stop Hartlepool! COYP!

The do we or do we not start with Wootton will no doubt be subject to some debate over the course of this week. For me it has to be a yes. Knight did more effective work off the ball than on it today and he scuffed a couple of chances when clear through but I'm fully aware he needs time and patience to bed in and find his way.

Hartlepool are going to be a much tougher test than Woking on paper so it's on this basis I would prefer Wootton to start against Hartlepool and then give Knight some time after the hour mark when defences are tiring where he can use his pace alongside Knowles or see how he can combine with Wootton like against Wrexham.
