I bet on United to beat Glasgow Rangers going for a double treble and bought the land The Bedsit was built on.

I bet on United to beat A S Roma at Tannadice and paid for me and my departed friend to go to Rome by train off of the winnings.

I bet on United to beat the Dees in the Scottish Cup Semi Final at Tynecastle with every penny i had to my name so i could afford the trip to Moenchengladbach for the 2nd leg of the UEFA Cup Semi Final.

I never have or never will place any bet against Dundee United.

Before we left Lloret de mar to go to the Camp Nou a Barcelona supporter who worked in our hotel(management)offered any of us a bet for the game that evening,i threw down every peseta i had in my wallet on the table in front of us and told him to cover it.
Unfortunately for me he after asking for the bet declined my offer,i was not always an auld moaning barsteward who had no faith in the custodians of the club i support,FACT.

No I don't think he'll score 20...do you...not sure what you're on about getting United supporters to back me...I thought I would have had other takers for the McMullan bet but I'm sure GB will pick a player by Friday

Mate I was at barcelona to went on bus with ramsay travel me and few mates we were staying at my uncles place in a place called segges think some thing like that just outside barcelona but rest of guys on bus were staying in lioret de mar could have been on same busCant remember to much about it remember there was a really old guy on bus but they decided he would not make the stairs at nou camp so left him in hotel in lioret de mar and instructed the staff he had to get the match on tv but some english cu.ts changed over to some english game and the old guy never got to see the match still annoys me now

For all my faults and i have many i am one of the most honest Arabs you have never met.Its only fair to add i have also lost big money on United too but over the years I'm well up i think.

Auld Peter was with me on that very trip mate,i think he was 90 and the Courier come up to Frews before we left to cover the story and take a photo.I still have that photie somewhere mate.
