I can 100% agree with that. He's a full back that's it, that suits his game more.

goals just on twitter now... second goal is something I'd like to see Wotton and Notts do more off. Ball out of defence over opposition midfield into the centre circle, taken down and played out wide quickly and straight into the box...simple and effective and hard to defend against.

    ................Slocombe
    Brindley...Lacey...Cameron...Taylor
    ..................Francis
    .........Palmer.........Rodrigues
    ....Roberts....Wootton.....Mitchell

And we have other players who can step into those roles...
Also hope that we don't completely abandon the 3-5-2...it would be great if we were adaptable and keep the opposition managers guessing by running it out every once in a while
Is this not the team that started last night? Issue with this is one midfielder playing like a third centre back and one like a second striker. Said it before looked like a 5-1-4. If it wasn’t for the fact that Matty Palmer is outstanding… think Jacob said needs to be 3 from 4 out and our midfielders and begrudgingly I agree.

I really liked then change to this against aldershot but didn’t work as effectively last night. Probably just about preferring the 3-5-2 if we can get someone offering the inside ball from the WB (a certain mr Doyle was good at that)

Absolutely horrendous officiating. I’d love to know the referees reasoning behind not sending him off. As you’ve stated, the ref had a clear view and the player checked his run then clearly raising his arm.

Unbelievable miss by the ref for that elbow.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen such a blatant elbow in the face be missed by the ref, who was 2 yards away. A bad miss - almost as bad as the one by Palmer that would have made it 4-2.
