I was hoping for a Tamworth-esque game to boost the players’ confidence and Notts - and Barnet - duly obliged. Excellent!

Did they announce the attendance? Not on the BBC or club website.

Very true, some people don’t get it but I did like the fact we did try and mix it up slightly last night, Cameron’s ball for Sam was a peach, if you have some with his passing ability we probably need to utilise it slightly more on the odd occasion but you do need someone up front with a bit pace to utilise it and Sam did that excellently for that goal, the run, the control and finish were top class.

The only downside was to bring Brunt on instead of Vincent,,

You have an odd way of looking at certain situations.

Brunt might be struggling but we've signed him for a reason and need to stick with him. Bringing him on at 4-0 up is a free shot for him to improve his confidence to help in future games.

I agree, no forms of abuse should be tolerated. The only problem I have is where do we draw the line? I have heard many fans abusing the referee, some on here. Should they be banned for life if they do it in the ground? I'm certainly no fan of poor referees, but do they deserve profane abuse?

Don't get me wrong, if it's proven that the person who was ejected was doing as stated, then they are an idiot and deserve all they get especially bearing in mind Notts have many players, black or white who would be offended by those comments.

Just as aside, wasn't John Chiedozie sent off for making racist remarks to Uriah Rennie?

Any abuse or swearing and you should be removed from the stadium. So many kids at every game, that shouldn't have to listen to abuse and swearing.

It will good to see what the official report on the incident says, rather than people just inventing what they thought they saw. If there was someone shouting ANYTHING derogatory to any player, be them a Notts or visiting player then the club and the police will deal with it accordingly. I consider something serious as a player suffering serious injury on the pitch or a spectator having a medical emergency (or to that likes), rather than something being shouted. If I shouted to Steve McNulty 'fatty', is that a serious incident?

YEs you should be removed from the ground if you called a player a fatty, no need

It must have been something really nasty because the player was in tears and was consoled by both sets of players, Cameron was especially good. A player has every right to walk off if suffering racist abuse.
The guy in the Pavis shouting get on with it at the time sits lower down from us, a minute after kick off if one of the opposition commits a foul he's berating the ref and bellowing Get yer book out. Complete dick.

Whilst I totally agree with the guy being ejected (it seems as if he then handed himself into the police) I'd be somewhat concerned that something can be shouted at a person who is in the public eye that then brings him to tears.

On the issue of match bans how on earth are they policed? Unless the perpetrator has to attend a police station on match days do systems really exist at football grounds to identify an offender?

Well I'm not Davey and full disclosure - I only listened to the game with Charlie. We gave Barnet a thrashing on the opening day. At just over the half way point we are just outside the play-offs. Why does trashing a Barnet whose defenders stood around like mannequins according to Stallard bode for a better second half of the season? We're out of top spot contention as noted in an earlier post. We're pretty well out of 2nd spot contention too. I've heard nothing yet that says we anything better than a good, attractive but inconsistent NL side lacking muscle.
