I watched the game with the streaming service and Oldham's pitch wasn't good at all. It cut up very quickly and Notts passing game was not as fluent as usual. It reminded me of Meadow Lane when Ray Trew let Notts Rugby use it between home games. That was a bleddy stupid decision on his part. I know he was trying to get some more revenue but he nearly turned Meadow Lane into The Baseball Ground where Derby played before Pride Park.

Notts78, the fact we would have played with two right footed wing backs doesn't mean you are more unbalanced, if one of them certainly is more used to the position, is more dangerous going forward and can cross equally as well with both feet. Along with that, we wouldn't have had Bajrami playing the wrong side of a back three, which was part of the imbalance.

Williams needs to stop tinkering with the team. If its not broke then dont try to fix it. Messing about trying to be clever will ultimately cost promotion. Both Scott and Chicksen should not have been dropped. If I was either of them I would be knocking on the mangers door this morning. Even Francis who played well in the previous game should feel aggrieved at being discarded for Bostock. And where was Toby ?

durhampie, Slocombe doesn't f*ck up we win the game, and you wouldn't have mentioned tinkering. Chicksen was rested due to injury concerns as I have said elsewhere. Who in their right mind wouldn't bring Langstaff back in. The decision I thought that was wrong was to play Cameron at LWB, so effectively making two changes, by having to bring in Bajrami. Unless TAR is injured, he would have been my choice at LWB.

I fully understand bringing Langstaff back, but to drop Scott and bring Bostock in ? I dont think so..

Today is another NL match day, Wrexham may well drop points - which they have done in 7 out of 12 away games so far - and the table will look no worse than it did before yesterday afternoon, them being back to one game in hand.

One game in hand against Chesterfield that they'd still need to win to go above us. Reading their furom it seems they've already won the league and have booked the open top bus for the tour around the now city.
Chesterfield fans seem to think the title is in their own hands as they sit 9 points behind us with 2 games in have and 16 goals behind. Yes we have to go there but to swing a -16 goal difference in 3 games is going some, hahaha!!

I like Sam but when we have a penalty against us I hope they miss the target as I never feel he will save it.

Yesterday's first goal was a mess - Sam has to take a massive responsibility but I also think it was a result of poor communication with the defenders.

Genuine question though, as I don't know the answer, how many goals have we given away this season because of Sam's footwork, or the defenders trying to play it out?

Where has the criticism about him tinkering been when we've been winning? I get that you don't change a winning team mentality, but LW has served us well this season. I don't think he's trying to be clever - he's doing what he thinks is right to lead us to promotion.

Delusion is once again alive and well all with the added bonus of hindsight, something no manager or head coach benefits from.

I thought Chicksen was our worst performer against Oldham at home. He got into countless fantastic attacking positions and under no pressure couldn't find a Notts teammate , often choosing the wrong option By all accounts he's great this season, and impressed when I've seen him, but boxing day was not a good day at the office so I'm not shocked he was dropped for the return fixture.
