I mean this in the nicest possible way but you are so overly hyper-focused on numbers or plucking out individual things all the time that I think you become detached from reality. Numbers are there to be manipulated and you always find a way to make them work to suit your narrative. TBH i am surprised you've not pulled out the XG stats vs a team, not bottom in some other league in a different country.

If you had for one minute stopped looking at numbers and simply assessed the team based on what we all could see on the pitch, in the squad, the change in atmosphere in the stands, and what was ultimately not happening in the board room it was very obvious to almost everyone that we were either going to go down or would be very close to it, and this was obvious from the beginning of the season.

This isn't a we told you so moment, but more a try giving the random manipulated numbers a break suggestion as the reality is they have all meant nothing
Brilliant post - very well put. I find some of Shedka's posts infuriating but he is an Arab and probably a really decent person. I blocked your posts for a while Shedka but realised I was being childish - you could do worse than heed what the_arab has posted.

If we went with exactly with this same team in the championship, we wouldn't get promoted and would in all liklihood, be battling for a play off spot! That is as damming a statement that you can give on our current predicament. The fact that this was identified early in the season and the owner saw fit to put his wallet away and try and recoup some money instead, should have alarm bells ringing for our fans. What's to say that he intends on spending money to fix this...or is he likely to have a fire sale and disappear off into the sunset. I think we all should be concerned with what happens over the next couple of weeks because sitting on our hands and hoping for the best is not an option! We are on deep trouble and we need to know what the plan is moving forward..and quickly! The goalkeeper is not the problem no...it's the stewardship of the club that is a priority! We won't get a manager or players ....and possibly fans , if we don't have a clear plan for the future.

Quite correct. We achieved European football last season with a total of 41 points, correct me if I’m wrong. This season If Killie win their last game they will have 40 pts and still will be only tenth. What I would say about Tam Courts was that he gave a lot of young boys a chance last season, something we haven’t seen this season. I understand our predicament hasn’t allowed that.

Couple of good points here , Ogren needs to come out and say what’s happening pronto , personally , he needs to sell up for me , either way it needs action quickly on investment, manager etc , to have any chance of bouncing back a clear plan needs to be put in place asap . What we can’t afford is this dragging on through the summer , we all know a few of those players won’t be there next year so work should have already begun on where we go next

No no sorry you are mistaken or missing the point

After Easter Road in January, this was the reality of the last quarter worth of games and at that stage I didn't think we'd go down, reasonable given the form since October and the fact we'd just got out the bottom two

Things changed badly right after for the reasons I gave above with the injuries and the games mentioned, plus the outcome of the Jan window happening right about the time we had those two away games at Killie and Hearts, then the Birighitti returning in early Feb, things snowballed from there, confidence, mood, injuries etc, only lifted by Asghar news

This is what occurred, we had it in us to stay up but things went to pot and we never regained any momentum, then we won those 3 games under Goodwin but arguably had our worst performances and ndividual errors in the 4 games since

Its funny that game at Easter Road got mentioned, there are I'm sure more defining games in our season, but I was out the country at the time that game was played, and got back to my hotel for the second half, and was following via bbc website and updates from my dad. At the time we actually were playing not too bad in league, but weren't getting the points our play merited (Hearts 2-2 at home), and I couldn't see us win much on the road that season. I remember looking at our fixtures ahead and thinking we had a tough run of fixtures where I couldn't see us pick up many, and thinking 3 points at Easter Road would be huge. Even not watching the game it seemed total predicable how the second half was developing with Fox not making changes. Hibs were utter dog sh1te at the time and in freefall, and we still couldn't see it through. I remember being really sick at the end because it just confirmed to me that we were definitely going to be fighting relegation, even in that little spell of playing a bit better we didn't have enough.

Another one that stands out is Killie away 0-1 when we missed the pen, the mood was pretty toxic as it was the first game after Jan window, and any benefit of doubt, goodwill just evaporated when we put in an absolute dismal performance, toxicity went through the roof after that, and we followed it up Bergetti howler v St John, and humping at Ross County.

Midweek was the 6th time we have changed/dropped keepers this season, and now all our managers - Ross, Fox and Goodwin have dropped Spaghetti.

The thing is regarding the keeper situation is that way back 18 months ago we got in Eriksson (how long is his contract BTW?) and pretty soon thereafter the rumours started to circulate both on here and other social media platforms that he was absolutely honking. This was eventually confirmed even in his first game against Sunderland. Given that and given that we surely knew that Siegrist was for the off come the end of the season, why oh phucking why was Carson allowed to just,er, walk away. We left ourselves open to chasing Zander Clark like some sort of bunny boiler and after that there was absolutely no Plan B. To me, right there, are the decisions that ultimately proved the difference between staying up or what has now come to pass.

And Kovacevic got a broken jaw off Wilkie. Things happen. Point is that too many contracted players over the last couple of years have simply been allowed to leave because they 'didn't fancy it'. Players who should have never been allowed to just simply go without adequate replacements coming in first. Guys such as Carson, Nicky Clark, even Tony Watt. You could even chuck in Tam Courts. Could you imagine back in the day a player under contract walking into Wee Jum's office and asking for a move because he didn't 'fancy it'. You don't need me to tell you the reaction. He'd have been telt to wind his neck in, knuckle down and work for a starting place while at the same time pushing those in possession of the jerseys. And then if it had been Trevor Carson, he certainly would have got his black eye.
