Also it's causing trouble already, we're starting to hear some people getting at Williams as they "expect" us to be going for automatic. I think LW is a very capable manager but is working with alot of players under performing whether due to ability, confidence or both. Should we change the system to a back four? Maybe but would that take away from our play going forward which has saved the result often this season? I would hate to see expectations, that are maybe unrealistic for this squad, to derail a promising start under LW.

We should just worry about getting the squad right and then go from there, not the other way round. Just my opinion of course.

I wonder which teams have scored most goals in League 2 so far this season? The other one is Swindon, who have conceded even more than we have. Some of us seem to think we have a right to success; we don’t. We are in a dodgy patch of form; yesterday’s match was worrying, I agree, but we haven’t lost four in a row, so things could be a lot worse. Why the panic?

You can argue that he hasn't learnt from the fiasco that left Scott injured for the season and left Brindley on at Wimbledon when he went down injured in the box, and held his hand up to come off. That was ignored, and Brindley missed the next few games.

He rabbits on about protecting players, Its a pity he doesn't practice what he preaches...
Come on Durham, Williams hasn't suddenly become a poor coach. We lost Wootton and Roberts last year and he excelled, Rodrigues and Scott the season and he's still got us in the top six . There's no covering for the loss of Palmer and he's not in charge of recruitment which has left him short of a keeper of the required standard.
I'm sure he'll jig things around and keep us competitive but we aren't as good as Stags, Wrexham and probably Stockport and with our injuries not really as strong as MK Dons, Crewe, Barrow in all.

I'm not saying that he is a bad coach, he is in fact a very good coach. He just needs to rewind a little to see where we things are going wrong.. He has some very difficult decisions to make regarding player selection, and its those that could decide his fate...

I think he's got just about the safest job in the division. Unless we look like going down I can't see him being sacked, certainly hope not. I'm more worried about him becoming disillusioned and being poached. I think he's currently better than the players he's coaching for the most part.

It depends on who we sign in the Jan window. No more ex prems wanting to get fit at our expense..

I'm not blaming LW totally for Saturday's debacle but too much emphasis on defenders passing the ball to each other without looking to progress forward isn't likely to get fans cheering, nor are multiple subbings likely to increase team understanding. Having said that, the players do or should know not to pass too risky balls to each other in front of enemy midfielders, they aren't performing against non-leaguers anymore.

Fun factoid - if you lob the ball big and high forward occasionally it will make a difference to crowd noise and might - just might - make the enemy pause and think a bit.

Stone did plenty of that in the second half, mostly giving them a throw-in as a result. It didn't seem much like the crowd was impressed.

I think our level without Palmer (and without replacing him with someone who can start our transitions effectively) is 5-10 places lower than with him. It look like Bostock was the intended replacement in this match but it wasn't nearly as effective - I thought it looked better in the closing part of the first half. Then he was off and things really fell apart.

Oops! I forgot to say accurately.

As others have said we did do that more than a few times in the 2nd half, but it only actually resulted in an accurate pass on a couple of occasions, the rest sailed into the blue yonder. It was another thing that seemed to make the crowd somewhat, errr, restless shall we say. As did passing the ball around the back 3/goalkeeper when you're 2-1 down with 5 minutes to go. I spose that's the thing about Billyball, when it works it looks brilliant, but when you concede poor goals through sloppy passing and keep giving the ball away, it looks awful.
