The impression that came directly from the pitch was that they were younger, faster, stronger.
Didzy looked old today, others seem small and lacking in physicality - this is what it looks like when the team isn't playing its game at all.

Didzy is / was a class act but unfortunately influences the game less and less outside of moments of quality. If he does nothing all game but then sticks two in the top corner that's great, but yeah on days like today he looks every year of his age.

I thought more pace would've helped us today. I'd have had Martin and Brown on for Austin and McGoldrick at half time.

Haven't been able to visit Meadow Lane recently and frankly, not looking forward to it in the near future for performances like today's. Dreary, lifeless, lacking in ideas and a joke defensively.

Ahh it was the pitch! That explains absolutely NOTHING.....2pts from 15 says a great deal though.

That's a bit unfair. It's not like he hid from reality and blamed the pitch. He was just asked about playing out for the first goal and said he told them before the game the pitch was crap so go long and beat the press. Quite worrying that they didn't in that case, but he fully acknowledged how bad a performance it was.

Yeah it's not great. Hopefully once we start getting one or two back it will be stronger.

Everyone (nearly) was happy when the defence was replaced but a few bed-wetters were asking where the strength in attack was. Well that particular chicken has certainly come home to roost (10 pts out of the last 30 available with 5pts out of the last 18 available). As Thordardaughter says the bench is paper thin and made up generally of poor quality players. Sort it Bros!

What a waste of a day. At some point we’ve got to take stock and see why we persist trying to play the way we do. Great when it works, but more often and not, it doesn’t. We’ve been outmanned to a player today by lads who are probably on a quarter of the equivalent player. They’ve ran, pressed and got stuck in, rather than this stupid wing back system which doesn’t work when a team is committed to the press.

We’ve forgotten what it takes in League two and today shows we need changes, top to bottom. Until the owners wake up and realise they own a L2 club…we’ll struggle.

Well said that man. Totally agree. Someone said to me today, we have lost our heart and soul and don't really seem to know what we are about any longer.
