FFS - I was booked for Derby hospo as well. Bring in the winter break now, it really is the only option. Then pick up and re-start the games from 2nd week of January or something. Keeps the disruption to the minimum and hopefully lets us still get into the games as planned. Thank heavens at least it’s not another full lockdown (but given the chance I’m sure it would have been) - lockdowns are too easy to get into, and as we fast discovered last year too easy to then stay in. Who’d have thought on 26th Dec 2020 that that would be us right through to the end of April 2021? The answer now is not lockdowns. It’s implementing safe Covid practices across all sectors of life while keeping things open as much as poss. Look at travel for instance - yes it’s a pain in the @rse having to show vaccination proof, having to do pre- and post-departures tests, having to wear a mask on the plane etc. But if it still allows you to get a phucking holiday right now, then FFS just suck it up and get on with it…………

Winter break from Boxing Day through to the 8th Jan then pick up where we left off. The derby would then be the 16th. I highly doubt however, that this is going to last only 3 weeks.

Massively in agreement with Offshore. Almost embarrassed to be Scottish. Utterly bewildered how anyone can vote for them. This is ill thought out nonsense.

You’re right TTT and I’m singing from the same hymn sheet. Here we go again for more restrictions and let’s face it primarily it’s because some people won’t get vaccinated and won’t follow basic measures designed to keep things open e.g. wearing a mask in a shop. It really isn’t much to ask and surely it’s worth it to allow continued access to the things we enjoy in life right now. The number of times I’ve seen blokes walk out of pub lavvies the last few months without washing their hands for instance makes you wonder how thick some are. I mean that’s basic hygiene FFS - it shouldn’t need Covid to ken that that’s a given.

I vote SNP because they are the party that are closest to what i want politically for Scotland. To a point as the governing party up here, they have done a better job at most points of this damn pandemic! Once my political objectives are met, she can be GTFed!

For the reasons i listed in my earlier reply to someone, i really do not see the justification for closing down people going to a venue that is essentially outdoor. Although it can never be guaranteed, i have faith in my fellow Arabs that if they had the slightest sniffle, they would be testing and isolating if it meant getting to just 3 more games!

I really dont see why they just cannot grasp the nettle and fecking close the schools for a wee while! Outside of the railways, NHS and education, is there anywhere else that is actually having to restrict operations because of covid outbreaks?

Despite my disappointment that i cant change my mind for the next 2 games, i would rather the games went ahead.
