Yes, its only an agreement that you will sign a contract (hence pre contract agreement), it can still be broken (for example a serious injury)

It doesn't mean he'll stay at us though. Loan him and we are done with him but he also cant play against in any cups etc.

In all seriousness, I'd say the same if it was Rory boulding or Timothy van der meulan (lol) going to them, you don't leave anything to chance.. We need to be less naive and more ruthless in our thinking as a club and support and less lackadaisical
