The national media, no one listens any more mon ami, no one cares what the legacy media says, it's dying, it's you that needs to move forward. And before you start to worry about Burnley, you'd be better off concerning yourselves about our country and it's borders, or lack of them. After all, if you don't have borders, do you even have a country ?

Our borders are as porous as my late mum's rag pudding cloth, this is not a new phenomenon, so why all the pressure on Starmer? The right-wing press in this country are a set of despicable ratbags.

I'm not aware that I've blamed Starmer for the migrant crisis mon ami, although he refuses to do anything about it, but neither did the Tories for donkey's years, they're all as bad.

As for pressure on Starmer and the right-wing press, have you even heard of the fire-bombing of Starmer's house by Ukrainian rent-boys ? You'll not find much about it in the legacy media, not even in what passes for the right-wing media. What is this all about, why is the media protecting him and shutting the story down ?

"Of course, lying to voters is nothing new for these MAGA politicians. It's their entire brand. They aren't interested in actually solving problems or improving the lives of voters, they're interested in bragging, taking credit, and then moving on to a new lie. It falls to all of us to call them out every single time they try it."

Is this what TDS reduces you Lefties to mon ami, arguing about a train set. Construction of these units began in October 2017, a year after Obama left office, so he can't claim much credit either can he ? Anyway you continue dancing on the head of a pin mon ami, I'll leave you to it.

Best estimate I can come up at present: As of early 2025, it's estimated that around 175,000 unauthorised arrivals were recorded between 2020 and September 2024. This figure includes people who entered the UK without permission—such as via small boats across the Channel—or overstayed their visas.

This not all Starmer's fault but he is seemingly incapable of stemming the flow. The Home Office will not provide actuals but it is acknowledged that in the UK we have over ONE Million undocumented people living amongst us.

That over ONE million people not paying Income Tax or National Insurance. The black economy must be in overdrive because "Border Force" certainly isn't, but as usual mon ami just blame the "Lefties".

Why your sudden concern for Sir Keir? I thought you’d stuck more knives in him than the right wing press combined! No-one on these threads have said our current migrant woes are the sole responsibility of the current administration. It has been a cumulative failure of Government after Government with their endless lies and promises.Sir Keir however did so much to thwart previous attempts to bring illegal migration under control (with the assistance of the courts). He bigged up his own plans to smash the criminal gangs. In fact migrant Channel crossings have doubled in his first year of power and asylum applications are at an all time high. People are sick and tired of being ignored. Sick and tired of outsiders bussing in to call them Nazi scum when they seek to voice their concerns about their communities. We are becoming less and less tolerant not just because of Government failures to act but by those who continue to advocate every means of thwarting change. Much of the root of the problem lies outside our control with the porous borders of the EU but we should clearly be able to to take steps to closing this route to asylum seekers. That may mean opening more legitimate avenues of course.

No concern whatsoever for Starmer Sir Outwood, but I do believe in fair play and this is a long running saga where successive governments have been derelict in their duties. Aggressive behaviour from a load of Gammons congregating en mass outside hotels is not the answer to this issue.

True, BT, however, one man stood up and said in his election manifesto thet he would stop the boats.
Methinks that he has failed miserably and his promise has been proved to be nothing but a lie to many people. Meanwhile, some of us knew that this was a false claim and didn't take any notice because a previous Labour Party leader and PM said that our doors would always be open.

It's all rather boring really, almost as boring as that PL clash at Anfield today which was so hyped up.
