    Very happy with this signing. Good age, great size, intelligent , had experience at leagues 1 and 2 and 16 clean sheets last year. Defence shaping up nicely now

    This may well be our most important signing. Do like the way we've sorted out two defenders and a keeper as priorities. Okay, different formation (probably) but Clough had Lloyd, Burns, and Shilton as his backbone.

    Edit - and if he's as good as the last bloke we got from Sunderland that'll do me.

    Even if he is only nearly as good, that will do me.
    I wonder if he had words with Patterson before he accepted. ( I know it was 2 managers ago but the same owners. )
