I remember seeing Lowery in the FA Youth Cup at Arsenal a couple of years ago. (3-2 to Crewe on a cold night in Barnet) Arsenal looked older, bigger and stronger than their years. Lowery quite the reverse. I was concerned that it would be men against boys (well a boy) but I could not have been more wrong. His touch and skill gave him the time to avoid any physical advantage the opposition had when he was on the ball. His passing and availability was outstanding. And he was not averse to close down and tackle and make a real nuisance of himself when they were in possession. I thought he was one for the future and pleased to hear that he is continuing to progress. I don't get to see many Crewe games other than those around London but am looking forward to seeing him in action again.
