I don't think this squad is ready to mount a promotion challenge next season, but I do think that the current personnel is good enough to finish comfortably above the drop zone if we stay healthy.

I'd like to see KJ give Bancessi a run out in the first team in these last four games to see what he can do, I know Zele is injured but I think Kenny may already have made his mind up about him and I can see him being farmed out on long term loan next season or maybe even sold on. I think his chance with Wolves may have come and gone.

Judging from the Jez interviews put up by Gav on another thread, we are looking to sign some new players. I don't think that was a great surprise!

Slightly off the original idea of the thread but one thing I'd love to see next season is a proper electronic scoreboard inside the ground. Even on my trips to the Blunts and MK Dons I looked enviously at theirs, while we've still got the electronic scoreboard equivalent of the Commodore 64 which haven't worked in years and are a complete eyesore.

How great it is that, with renewed interest and confidence, we can now discuss the future of our team in a positive way. Don't know about anyone else, but I think I like it.

As for team improvements, Kenny has 3-4 months to get it right and I wish him well. Here on this board there has been some discussion on ways in which the team can be improved. This I shall leave to KJ and those amongst you with greater knowledge than I, however, there is something about which I will offer an opinion. It concerns the pending return of the 'prodigals'(I don't think I need them).
Should KJ decide to keep any, then I hope he chooses wisely. Personally, I hope it's Kevin Doyle who, throughout the turmoil, acted with considerable decorum and did nothing about which he need reproach himself. As for the rest, with their proven record of dissent, disloyalty and lack of professionalism, I wouldn't want them anywhere near our young lads. IMO, in order to bolster the team, it would be far better

I am not alone in hoping the dead wood is not allowed to settle back in now that the ugly part of the job is done.

The bigger question is, out of our current squad what needs strengthening ?

What the Rotherham game showed us is that next season its going to be much more difficult defending next season.

There will be many more teams in the championship that will come here and attack and not come here looking to park the bus

I hope our players check out the table of the Championship these last couple weeks. It'll show them how competitive it is (though some of our players have already experienced it firsthand). Can't take a week off or you could regret it greatly later in the season. 7 teams with a realistic shot at the final playoff spot with 3 matches to go (going into today). 5 teams in danger of suffering the final relegation spot. That's half the table with a great deal to play for the last 2-3 matches.
