The incompetence, neglect and lack of foresight that caused the situation is still there and it won't go away if you just ignore it or 'let it go' as you put it.

Even assuming that any postponement relates only to waterlogging what if other games are off the same day? What if the weather is genuinely exceptional with a ludicrous amount of rain in the run up to kick off where even the best of pitches would struggle. This last point is relevant when we are playing on a day there is no other games to compare directly with as with the Rangers debacle last season.

Motherwell had problems years ago, got fined, sorted their pitch but didn't have the 'any further postponement ' clause hanging over their heads. This is all down to the SPFL pandering to Rangers. Of course we should have sorted things before but we have now by all accounts and that should have been the end of it. The next season threat is just pure vindictiveness.
You would have expected that to be part of the appeal and an easy win but this is John Nelms

I fully expect at least one or two cancellations next year, I expect the full fine to be imposed.

All down to the SPFL pandering to Rangers. Pathetic. That is why Scottish football is so far behind. We are all only here to give the evil twins a league to qualify for Europe from.

There could be one other problem which has not been mentioned either on here or on the topic on Pravda which last night had reached 95 pages of posts.
Thanks to Nelms running down the players contracts at the end of the 2022-23 season there were only three players who had a contract for the 2023-24 season.
Zak Rudden, Sean Byrne and Tyler French.
Nelms did not renew manager Gary Bowyer and his assistant manager Billy Barr 12 months rolling contracts
Nelms then panicked and gave two year contracts to most of the players despite a new manager not having been appointed.
Last Tuesday night at the Dundee v Partick Thistle match at Caird Park I was speaking to a life long Dundee FC supporter who told me that there are 20 Dundee players who have a contract for next season.
Therefore this makes it difficult for Tony Docherty to sign new players unless some of the payers who have a contract for next season can be persuaded to leave freeing up funds to sign new players and give improved contracts to certain existing players.
