Why did we not play like that more often?

We were first to every ball, pugnacious, aggressive, determined, we wanted to win and crowded out the opposition at every opportunity - Cove hardly had a sniff.

Riley, Connolly and Gibson ran themselves into the ground and the team were quite rightly applauded off the pitch.

Why did we have to wait so long?
    Precisely.

That’s the last time we’ll see Gav in a Queens shirt at Palmerston. Time for a wee career change apparently. Wonder if we’ll see Gibbo & Connelly again also.

Only the players themselves can answer your question jardi. As I have said before, we should easily have finished in the top 4, but this bunch of charlatans have consistently fell short all season.

They were just following the manager’s instructions imo. He needs to go

Agreed the manager has to go but he can take the majority of the squad with him. Their lack of quality and effort is down to them.

    Because they're charlatans

We win at a canter yesterday because cove were so bad. Yes we played well and I’d say it’s probably the best I’ve seen all season, but that was mainly down to cove allowing us to play. Hartley was going absolutely mental in the 2nd half with how they were playing. I just hope our manager looked at cove as it was almost a mirror image of how we have played this season in as much it was slow and pedestrian with constant passing across the back inviting teams to put pressure on. That is the way cove played and how we have been playing. Queens then went after them and created chance after chance.
In terms of the manager. He should go but I fear that if he doesn’t walk we are going to have to put up with the same next season, unless the new board get the money to pay him off. At least 10 players out of this squad need to go with him. There appears to be a total lack of discipline or respect with certain players who have the attitude that they are bigger than the club or think they should be playing at a higher level. Newsflash for some. You are at queens for a reason!!

Started away back last summer with the signing of many bang average players in an absolute shambles of player recruitment followed by Mr Bartley's weird but not so wonderful team formations which the players, never mind the Queens fans, struggled to understand - all in all an extremely poor season with many regular QOS supporters disappearing like snaw off a dyke and unless there is a vast improvement all round many I am afraid will not return.
