I don't buy that argument, they have put their money where their mouths are, the reason no one is coming is because we are not an attractive proposition or they are simply out bidding us.
There is no benefit whatsoever to the Chairman if we are relegated, which I happen to believe wont happen.[/quote]
Likewise I don't think deals are being deliberately scuppered. I think such persistent failure betrays a gaping chasm of operational competence that exists between ourselves and other, better run Premier League clubs.

Window's not shut yet anyway but it's a real shame we are throwing more money at this Walrus (unt of a manager. Means a proper manager has more clearing out to do. In my opinion.
Malky - Spent more in the summer and team are bottom
Laudrup - 3 points better off than us

    Martinez I will give you.

They have invested their money, not donated it. They no doubt expect and hope to make a substantial profit on that investment when they sell up, presumably once the OS move is completed.

As a fully paid up capitalist I have no problem with that concept. But I must be honest and say I do get

Now I am no accountant, so could be completely wrong, but take a look at page 21 of the attached doc. I though that they were reducing the debt. To me it looks like it has gone up from £41M to £70M - view external link

If you look at the consolidated balance sheet you will see that, whilst the short term debt has reduced by approx 5 million the longer term figure has increased by just over 28 million.

To you and me that represents a significant increase in the debt.

But to Sullivan and Gold it represents a reduction. Don't ask me how but, as they're doing everything for love, I believe them---I really do.

For once I'm in agreement with the wife beater.

We've always moaned, we just have so many more outlets for the moans to be heard. Not that long ago it the only place you could gob off and be heard was the game. As many have said, the treatment of Lyall at Liverpool in his last game in charge is testament to that.

What's depressing is, and this doesn't matter whether you're pro fat head or pro the board, we're having these discussions again. We are doing badly enough that we're once again debating the merits of how the club's run.

    It's fu(king sh1t.

Indeed EE. So much nicer when we can discuss players and tactics, what-ifs, good and bad moments (in equal quantity).
And the last one sums it up. Bad is massively outweighing good... so naturally people's attention is focussed on why and who etc...
