I believe they are not going to arbitrate as to whether it was a red card or not, but arguing on a technicality re the appeal.

It is encouraging that they have acted so quickly...concerned maybe that their is something wrong with their procedures and we will sue them Tevez style if we go down?

Swansea are not a party to this process. This is a standard two-party arbitration to be decided by a tribunal of three members. The FA nominates an arbiter, WHU nominates an arbiter, and then these arbiters jointly nominate a chairman. There is usually a clause specifying that some outside organisation nominates the chairman if the other two arbiters cannot agree.

I would guess that the chairman will probably be some academic expert in sports law.

Apparently if they do not come to a decision by tonight they will have to call off tomorrow's game

The problem will be WH & SC won't agree on who the third person should be as most credible football experts have already made their opinions known on the subject

Not really...why would Swansea care ? Carroll being let off will make no difference to them and they have already said they feel it was harsh.

I heard it was one from us, one from the FA and a Neutral.
