Hard lines Hamish - you're not getting your independence yet

[quote="gersforme"]what chance? to open scotland's border to everyone and anyone? salmond has stated he believes scotland needs more people despite having now the highest population in history.

where will they all find jobs? the indigenous scots kids are growing up with no hope as it is and the lunatic snp want to throw the arms industry out of central scotland and **** all over a new 200 million upgrade to scotstoun from bae systems.

they want and now have gay "marriage" , they hate bigotry but they don't mind parochial schooling where kids are separated from their pals at 5 yrs old.

They are not sure what currency we will use, an absolute scandal for a party proposing such a big leap!
they will keep us in NATO, meaning we will fight more American wars for middle eastern countries.

They want to give us wonderful child care, which they have the money for now but won't release it until we all vote yes ? ??

no thanks to that view of

It is a question of hope over fear.

I personally favour hope. I am hopeful for the future and have faith in my fellow Scot. (most of them)

I believe that we can make this land more fair and more prosperous. A land where education and health care is free at the point of need. A country which will stand and fall by it's own decisions and have no-one to blame but ourselves.

I hope that enough people are brave enough to take the leap.

What we can be certain about is that n-one knows what the future holds for us whether we are in or out of the union but if we are outside then it is our destiny in our own (politicians) hands.

The last parenthesis is a slight fly in the ointment because we will still have politicians running the show and I don't trust them whether they're Scottish or not. A true democracy would allow for certain major questions to be left to the people. Especially whether we should have weapons of mass destruction or send our troops into someone else's war.

ever since the scottish executive got power, the life of scots has been a misery with new criminal offences, snooping by councils and psychopathic cops

no thanks to more edinburgh power.
