The decision to announce this before knowing who was in it is looking ludicrous.

Sevco will get a home tie, whilst "neutral" Parkheid will be empty.

An Edinburgh ground (or possibly even Motherwell, Perth or Tannadice) would likely be fine for the other semi.

Obviously depends who is in the semi's. tynecastle was a wee bit nippit for Aberdeen v Saints and there were a few reds couldn't get tickets. I'd have though the 3-4,000 extra of Easter Rd would've satisfied demand though.

I reckon the semi-finalists will be St J, ICT, Dons and Orcs. If it's Reds v ICT or Saints Easter rd is plenty big. Imagine Saints v Caley in Mordor. Would be a joke. Surely the EssPeeEffEll won't be that pig headed. Then again, they'll probably have it a noon ko on sunday

both scottish cup semis are at ibrox as rather than have the finals at the best available stadium ibrox, they decided to have them at celtic park

Lets not let this end up being a debate about Ibrox and Parkhead. Also, why if the cup finals are at Parkhead do the semi's have to be at Ibrox. Much as it may surprise some people there are other venues in the country. A Raith or St J v ICT or DundeeU semi at Ibrox would be bonkers.

no arguments from me, they could have sorted it so that both rangers and celtic could have played at neutral venues but as they are totally incompetant you wouldnt expect anything else from them

Agreed, it could and should have been decided at a later date.

Likely demand for semi tickets from remaining teams...

    Sevco 30-40K
    Dandies 10-15K
    Jutes 6-7K
    Raith 3-4K
    St J 3-4K
    ICT 2-3K
    Dumbarton 2K
    Albion Rovers 1.5K
    Stranraer 1.5K

Add in the factor of live TV, probably rubbish k.o. times and you don't need to be an arithmetic expert to realise that a 50,000 capacity stadium is not required for both these matches.

The buns are desperate for cash and the SFA are trying to bail the c@nts out.
