Think we all know now who our manager will be next year. No chance Sam will be gone.
Exactly Watson.

Which means that a creative midfielder, which everyone would love to see won't be on the list.

Who I'd buy is irrelevent. It's who Allardyce wants, and let's get safe first.
spot on

dembele with SA?

I was working on the assumption Sam was still in charge hence the 451.

No point saying "I would buy Hernandez and partner him with Carroll" for instance.

BFS might like Dembele, he is a big lad who looks a bit like an Orc so you never know. Clearly Holtby or Erikson would not be to the managers liking though.

My selection is

Richards to replace Demel AA?5m

Victor Moses/Redmond in for Jarvis AA?6m

Oviedo/Buttner/Flannegan LB AA?3m

Mikel for Taylor AA?6m
Richards for 5m would be a surprise
Moses/Redmond not much more end product than Jarvis really imo.
Flanagan from Liverpool for 3m? You really think they're selling him, and for that?
You think Everton are selling Oviedo and for that?
Not seen enough of Buttner.
Not a big fan of Mikel.

Those are some strange, optimistic suggestions at some strange prices.

I'd take Richards, definitely, at anything up to 8m.

I like Berahino from West Brom - I think he'd compliment Carroll well and can't get a reg

Don't forget there will a few looking for new clubs from the relegated teams.

Based on the game I watched today Bradley Johnson and Robert Snodgrass would be on my shopping list.

if i was sam, i would be buying bargain basement. it's where his strength lies, and there is also less scrutiny on him as well as the player.

but if he was told he had to spend 20mil, right or wrong, i'd be looking at one or two quality midfield players.

fulham and cardiff are the more likely teams to be relegated, whereas the third is much more up in the air.

that being the case, it might be worth looking into acquiring brede hangeland's services as our fourth cb. he is 32 (33 next season), but he positions himself very well.

there isn't much in the cardiff team worth looking at.

Depends what division we're in and who the manager is.

And who would, if anyone, spend upwards of A?17 million on anyone.

We'd need a lot more than the A?20 million to do any good really when we are in Europe the following season.
