songs like "up to our knees in fenion blood" belong in the past, anyone who says different is an idiot, ask yourself why you want these songs at the football, can you not have atmosphere at football with football only songs.

to compare kids hearing nasty songs to kids going on to take drugs and carry knives dosent mean kids hearing these songs is right, its not an either or option, knife carrying and drug taking is a seperate issue.

i believe celtic were correct in trying to get these songs banned, and i really dont know what they are complaining about now, they have been told the football stadium is a not a place for these songs, if they dont like it they can get to fek. personally speaking if i owned celtic fc i would ban for life anyone who sang an offensive song. celtics reputation is more valuable to me than some wee ******* enjoyment cos he canny sing about something else like football.

theres also the issue of uefa, celtic got a ban in 1984 and possibly missed the chance

I seem to recall a demo against that stupid legislation by fans of a multitude of clubs from across Scotland.

Give over the "it was all your fault so it was" nonsense.

timothy is taking umbrage that they have been ouflanked by tinpot Scottish politicians.

The Bill was sold as an anti-Rangers vehicle to which timothy gleefully nailed his mast.Even the diddie got involved (I'll never take my loon to pittodrie when Rangers are playing, his wee ears will get hurt by the nasty songs min).

However the tinpots stunned both by pointing out that the legislation applied to all, suddenly it was no good for these bastions of society!!

Meanwhile,us Bears lifted our glasses, nodded sagely and commented "Told you so"...
