not really a film as such, more half film half documentary but threads(made in 1984) is a must see if you havent, depicts how the world could be if we had all out nuclear war, it was britains answer to americas "the day after" and according to many thousands of reviews by critics and experts, it makes the say after look like a stroll in the park.
failing that, watch a few episodes of "whatever happened to the likely lads"
