    Garrinchha was actually half Amazonian Indian. There is a great book about him by Rui Castro. Scary as feck and brilliant description of how alcohol took a grip on the fella. He had bandy legs but they were curved in the same direction which is why he was impossible to read. He had a parrot called pepe and that's a fact. Some folk get confused between pepe and pele but they are usually pyshed
