It's hard to feel any sympathy for United.
However, I think (if we manage to make the semi), they'll give us a right doing no matter where it's played.

Only the rangers could officially boycott a Scottish cup game and be rewarded by getting tae host a semi in the tournament the next season, If the rangers fans boycott again, will United get more tickets ?![]()
I would imagine no club wanted to look stupid and make a request before they actually got to that round is more likely[/quote]Originally Posted by JimmyHaze

At the time the announcement was made, United, along with all the provincial SPL clubs found themselves with the prospect of having to play Rangers in the semi at Ibrox and Celtic in the final at the P1ggery. Yet none of them spoke up. Speaking out against almighty Lawwell is not permitted.
But now that Celtic are out, the gloves are off.

I thought a 50/50 split would have been compulsory mind you I thought a neutral ground was in the SFA rules has a club ever had a home tie in the semis before?
In the 97 cup final they got the stand opposite the main.
Assuming its a Rangers v United semi ,would they put the United fans in the Govan and two corners?
That would mean United fans stuck in the middle of Rangers fans coming out from the Broomloan and other stand behing the goal, cant remember the of it, could lead to major problems considering the bad feeling between both sets of fans...i suppose they could keep the United fans in after the game but what about before...could be messy.
