I think with a lot of women it's not that they want to do something, it's they don't want you to be doing something. They just sit in front of the TV and expect you to do it also. Close down all your interests and pastimes and just be with them...doing nothing!!!!

I would find it weird adding anyone as a friend who I wouldn't stop and talk to in the street or maybe grab a beer with, or if it was a lassie maybe a bite to eat or whatever, people adding someone as a friend because they worked with them for a fortnight years ago is daft.

That's right. It's natural that people come in and out of your life as you go forward. It's not natural that people who only knew you at a certain stage of your life and development are now back again commenting and judging you as you are now in the present.

I've read about people who were bullied at school but have gone through a massive process ended up very confident and successful in life only to be now revisiting those dark places because they are in touch again with the bullies on facebook etc.

[quote="WangOneIn"]I live on my own,had a girlfriend who would stay at weekends mostly but have been single since september. Got super fast BT Infinity broadband put in the flat with BT Sports etc..barricaded myself in over the winter apart from the odd pub outing where I drink until I can't remember how I got home. My weekends have become cherished, I eat and drink...and wash when I want.

Last night as I sat watching a bit of Chatty Man coupled with having my face stuck in my laptop following this forum, facebook, twitter, bbc news etc I began to think how insular life has become, not just for me personally but for all who enjoy the internet.

I could picture myself sitting watching Chatty man with a new partner, sharing a meal or a bottle of wine...but I wouldn't want her here again tonight...tonight I want to go on the internet and it's not a two "man" sport.

Is the internet gonna create a generation of singletons and insular folk who get enough interac

Mrs Pogue refers to the internet and my laptop as "The Devils Lantern"...she may not be far off the truth.

    I'm tellin ya...

What would you be doing now if you didn't have the internet??

Up until december I only had Three mobile dongle with a 8Gb limit...now I've got BT Infinity Wi-Fi unlimited...everything is lightening fast... I used to go a fortnight with no bandwidth left with the dongle...not now, it's relentless!!
