World Cups were better when you were only getting the chance to see these Brazilians and Argentinians once every four years.

Now you see them week in week out as the best ones all play in Europe.
32 teams has made it sterile too...the last WC had Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland and Slovakia all equally capable of sending a glass eye to sleep (all it needed was Scotland to complete the set).

...and these African teams being tactically disciplined is pish too, let's back to running out of the free kick wall and randomly booting it away.

My favourite WC was Spain 82 as well, even though England ran out of ideas. Brazil were fantastic (apart from the keeper and back four). It was a shame the Germans cheated their way to the final - Italy v France would have been a better finale. Seem to remember Maradona booting an Italian in the balls and little old Norn Iron did themselves proud. Happy days!!

Seldom find that enjoyable, though have allowed myself a couple of rare cigar moments this season...your point?
