    Being objective here, Hawick is a far nicer place than Greenock.

    Probably a lot more to do in Greenock but to say it's better would suggest you've never spent any time in Hawick, which is a braw wee place despite being full of oddballs.

    I had to leave to go into further education anyway, love Edinburgh.

    We're agreed on Embra - great place. Been on a couple of stags there as well as other visits with the MrsIKnow. Much to do and see there - nice pace of life allbeit probably too many bus-loads of yanks
