Simple we pick a team to win and head in to play offs on six straight victories! A defeat with a weakened side would not do anyone any favours. Keep morale and confidence as high as possible and show the others why we finished clear third.

Look at this way. Just say we needed a point or a win to clinch 3rd or even 6th. We wouldn't be discussing this topic. Lets put our first team out. Carry on the momentum into the play offs. I also believe we have a good enough squad to deal with an injury. Not that we want that but I think we could cope.

I know it's Leeds but we need to look at the bigger picture...saying that, if it were Forest would I have the same opinion? The fact is we have 2 play off games which could ultimately determine our future.

On this basis we have a nucleus of players that IMO should be rested and saved, not all of them, just some. Leeds have nothing to play for so kicking lumps out of our boys to please their fans could be on the agenda. Martin, Forsyth, Bryson, Buxton and Thorne to be rested.

Use some of the depth to keep them in the loop as you never know when we may need them for what will be two games of blood and thunder!

Wee had bragging rights over Leeds for a long time now. Even with a weakened squad that can continue!

I would definitely put Martin on the bench. Had he not hit the 20 goal mark yesterday I would have played him so that he could try to do that - as it is he is pivotal to how we play.
The same with Bryson. Remember losing Idiakez and Rasiak in the first playoff game against Preston, we lost 2-0 - both were back for the home leg but were not fit and we went out. We would feel immensely cheated if that happened and we were robbed of Martin - he is the lynchpin of our style of play.

For some it is doing them a disservice to consider it a weakened team though - we have a strong bench. I would give Eustace the nod over Thorne for example - Thorne has been immense and has helped take us up a gear but Eustace is more than capable of playing there.

Bamford should be given a chance up front in at least one game - he has got 24 goals this season and we need to see if he could do the Martin role or play him alongside Sammon. We did win at Elland Road last season with Sammon leading the line and

I would be inclined to make changes, but I wouldn't do anything too radical. I would rest Bryson, Thorne and Martin. Bring in Hughes, Eustace and Sammon.

    Grant
    Wisdom---Keogh---Buxton---Forsyth
    Hendrick---Eustace---Hughes
    Russell--Sammon---Ward

Take Bryson, Thorne and Martin just in case we're chasing the game in the final 20 mins.

Subs: Legzdins, Whitbread, Bryson, Thorne, Martin, Bamford, Dawkins

I suspect your selection is the closest thus far to what McC will go with.
I do though think that Legzdins should get a game, just in case, worse case scenario, Grant gets injured in the warm-up or God forbid, gets an early red.

Goalkeeper getting an early red? Does that sort of thing still happen? I can barely remember such a thing happening to us, still less how we coped. Can anyone remind me?
